Our roller bearing kit eliminates the stock pressed in combination rubber and steel idler arm bushing. This stock bushing flexes and eventually wears out, causing loss of steering input. Our roller bearing kit uses a greasable roller bearing for smooth operation and service - an important upgrade and something that will give new life to your original quick steering components. Instructions included.

66 Mustang.. V8 manual steering with quick steer kit. This made a noticeable difference in steering effort at slow speeds (parking lots, driveway, etc). No issues with return-to-center with 3.5 deg caster. Wish I'd done it sooner. Installation did require a press and toe adjustment.

Installing the roller bearing kit for the idler arm was fairly simple and took approximately 2 hours to complete. The task required some mechanical experience but a good backyard mechanic should have no problems.
Steering is now incredibly smooth. Just make sure that you have positive castor to provide some self centering of the steering. The centering action of the idler arm is no longer present.
