Ordering and Shipping Information

Ordering Information:

Ordering from Cobra Automotive has never been easier; you can order online or phone us.  Should you choose to phone us, please have the part numbers and method of payment ready when you call, so that we can process your order efficiently.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.  All orders shipped within Connecticut will be subject to state sales tax.


Special Orders and Back Orders:

Special orders or custom orders, parts that Cobra Automotive orders specifically for a customer’s order or that Cobra Automotive must custom build or modify specific to a customer’s order, will be charged a nonrefundable fifty percent deposit, with the balance due upon shipment.  In addition, there are no returns on these items.  Since most of these items are non-stock items, shipping time extends.

With back orders we will try to notify you at the time of your order if any part is out of stock.  If a part is out of stock and unavailable we will notify you as soon as possible as to that part's availability.


Returns and Exchanges:

Upon receipt of your order, please check the contents immediately against items listed as shipped on the packing slip/invoice.

Items damaged or missing in transit are the sole responsibility of the carrier.  If you notice damage to a box, please note it immediately and contact the carrier within 24 hours so that a damage/loss claim can be filed.

Damaged items must be reported to the carrier within 24 hours of delivery.  Please DO NOT ship the damaged items back to Cobra Automotive, Inc.

If you receive an item from us and are not happy with it, please use the following phone number to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) Number:

We will accept the return of any unsatisfactory item provided it is unused, in resalable condition, and returned with a copy of your invoice within 90 days of the date of the order's shipment.  All return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer; returns must be prepaid as we do not accept items with postage due.   

To return or exchange a part you must call to obtain a return authorization number and form.  Please have your invoice available when calling.  Any part returned or exchanged is subject to inspection and must be unused and unaltered.  Please check all parts for test fit before assembly.  A 15% restocking charge will be assessed unless Cobra Automotive has shipped the incorrect part or the item has a manufacturing defect.  Please insure your return for its proper value to protect yourself against loss or damage.  All returns must be accompanied by a return authorization form obtained from Cobra Automotive.  The following items may not be returned:  Special orders; electrical parts of any kind; used parts of any kind; any new parts that have been installed or were attempted to be installed; new parts not in their original box or wrapper; or any parts that have been altered in any way.  Literature, clothing and video material may not be returned for any reason.


Shipping and Handling:

Cobra Automotive ships via UPS ground.  The customer may request another level of UPS service (i.e. Three Day Select, 2nd Day Air, or Next Day Air).  We require a signature on all UPS shipments, so the customer is responsible for making delivery arrangements if unable to be at the delivery address at the time of delivery.  US Postal Service or Federal Express can be used on special request.  US Postal Service is available to the lower 48 states only, and no insurance is available for shipments outside the US or to Alaska or Hawaii.

Oversized items need to be shipped by common carrier (truck freight).  We ship oversized items freight prepaid via the most economical way possible, which means either ground or ocean.  If you need them quickly please let us know as we can ship them air freight.  All shipping costs are billed to the customer.  Handling charges will include packaging and crating as necessary, depending on the items to be shipped.  We reserve the right to charge a handling fee, subject to review, for orders shipping on a customer’s freight account.




Canadian and Foreign Orders:

Hazardous Materials (paints, dyes, chemicals) are not shippable overseas.  All customs, duty and taxes will be the responsibility of the customer.  Orders may be delayed due to customs and brokerage clearance at the border.  Please make payment in U.S. funds.

With all international orders shipped via USPS, once the order leaves the U.S. Cobra Automotive will no longer be responsible if the order is lost or stolen.

Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec, Toronto, Windsor – 3-4 Days
Winnipeg, Regina, Halifax – 5-6 Days
Calgary, Edmonton – 6 Days
Vancouver, Victoria – 6-7 Days
Moncton, Whitehorse, Yellowknife – Call for Estimate

Delivery times are based on using common parcel shipping companies (UPS, FedEx, and DHL).  Use of USPS will result in several additional days for transit of your order.


Warranties and Liabilities:

All manufacturer warranties are passed on to the customer.  Products manufactured by Cobra Automotive are high performance or racing components and are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship only at the time of shipment.  Cobra Automotive’s liability on all products is limited to replacement of defective parts only.  Labor and any monetary expense regarding any part sold is the responsibility of the customer.  Some of the components sold by Cobra Automotive are not DOT approved and are specifically intended for off-road use only.  The customer assumes all responsibility for compliance with any applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations.  Due to the inherent danger in racing and high performance driving, the customer accepts all risk and responsibility concerning the installation and use of these products.  Cobra Automotive accepts no responsibility and offers no guarantee expressed or implied regarding the safety of any of these products.



We have made every effort to have accurate photographs and information and current prices throughout this store.  However, we do not assume responsibility for errors or omissions.  In addition, specifications and prices are subject to change without notice.  Any order placed is subject to these changes.

Cobra Automotive, Inc. is not responsible for defective parts beyond replacement of the items - the buyer assumes the cost of any labor, service or repair.  Many items are designed to modify your car from stock specifications - the buyer assumes all risk and responsibility in installation and usage.  Cobra Automotive, Inc. accepts no responsibility and offers no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the safety of these products.
