This Plexiglas aircraft quality rear window offers large weight savings along with added safety and strength.  It's accurately thermoformed by the same process used to make NASCAR Cup racing windows.  Not just a piece of flat material, this rear R-Model window is an exact reproduction of the original with all the compound curves of a piece of factory glass for an almost undetectable look, including the "iconic" dip down 2" opening at the top.  This was a Pete Brock innovation claimed to add 5 MPH to a car’s top speed.  Made slightly oversized for a “trim to fit” installation.  At ¼” thick it uses the stock gasket, moldings and clips.  This window has been known to run for many years with just periodic polishing.  Save 15 crucial lbs from the top of the car for a lower center of gravity.  Required installation kit (Installation Kit, R-Model Rear Window, 1965-66 Fastback (Part # 289-RWHP)) sold separately.  Mold release paper must be removed before 60 days.  Plexiglass windows are not DOT approved for street use - they're for off road use only.
